TALENT DEVELOPMENT AND CURATION
Over the years, SproutSpoken has adopted a twin approach to its contribution to the spoken word scene in Cornwall.
The first element has been a focus on cultivating and championing burgeoning talent within the region. This means that there are now increasing numbers of performers in the duchy who are able to hold an audience and bring their unique words to a stage. SproutSpoken is likely to know them, having supported them along the way. We have commitment to championing their continued development by routinely programming them for paid work when approached to do so.
The second element has been a focus on bringing a sparkling array of national and international talent to the duchy, including some of the best names to come out of the scene. Vanessa Kissule, John Hegley, Roger McGough, Malaika Kegode, Liv Torc, Dizraeli, Hollie McNish, Harry Baker, Attila the Stockbroker, Pete the Temp and Chris Redmond are just some of the performers we have worked with. This means that SproutSpoken has a keen eye for top-drawer artists and can curate and programme for external events when needed.
If you would like to bring talent from Cornwall or further afield for your event, please get in touch to see how we can assist with curation and booking.
